Description
JS Services is an independent technical research
company that has been a consistent resource to professional traders
worldwide since 1984. For 2 decades its Price Map overlay strategies
have provided structure to the randomness of discretionary intra-day
trading.
On
November 17th 2003, JS Services in conjunction with Strategy Runner
and its participating brokers launched an automated version of
this proven methodology. Now investors and traders of all levels
can profit from the dynamics of day trading without ever having
to enter an order, by subscribing to JS Services Strategy Portfolios.
Hands- free automated trading.
JS
Services’ Price Map is a discretionary overlay, whose variables
are compiled each day prior to the market opening by professional
market technicians and then entered directly into the Strategy
Runner automated trading platform. Over 100 different directional,
non-directional and risk management strategies are created off
the Price Map overlay for each market. From this strategy mix,
portfolios are created for different account sizes and risk tolerances.
The larger account sizes incorporating a greater number of strategies
and enjoying a higher risk reward ratio.
Combining
multiple strategies into one portfolio brings a natural diversification
and balance.
JS
Services strategy portfolios are based on discretionary inputs
and therefore will not correlate with other indicator-based
methodologies.
JS
Services strategies are based on discretionary inputs, which
allow them to anticipate market action rather than react. Most
mechanical models are based on technical indicators, which by
design lag the market. Providers of these strategies are constantly
re-adjusting their parameters because they are always behind
the market. JS Services strategies are on top of the market
each day!
Over
20yrs in the business, catering to the most talented and discriminating
of clientele – the Professional trader. The methodology
hasn’t changed only the delivery.
JS
Services trades during regular market hours and holds no position
overnight. This reduces the strategy portfolio’s event
risk exposure.
FACT:
based on numerous studies, a portfolio with an allocation of
at least 5% of its total investment in a non-correlated alternative
asset will have a higher return than one without. What account
size should you invest? Do your math.
JS
Services offers two portfolios for each account size. One has
a lower risk and the other has a higher return. Which is important
to you? A. Lower risk, B. Higher return.
The
leverage of the account is a factor of the risk/reward profile.
JS Strategy Portfolios are constructed using high leverage.
A more conservative approach would be to double or triple the
margin to reduce its percentage risk. It must be noted that
the percent risk reduction will equal the percent reward reduction
as well.

Developer: John Heffernan
Description
Network Capital Advisors Inc. (“Advisor”)
is a registered commodity-trading advisor (“CTA”)
trading a variety of futures and options markets. NCA’s
principals are Robert D. Heffernan, John Heffernan, and Jim Cronin.
The principals have over 50 years experience in the futures industry,
with extensive experience in trading, floor brokerage, proprietary
arbitrage trading and servicing of institutional and retail clients
in foreign exchange, interest rate and equity index futures and
options. The firm develops and licenses fully automated trading
models that run on the Strategy Runner platform. NCA’s Trading
Models are only available through a select group of registered
Futures Brokers via broker monitored/assisted programs.
NCA’s
trading models have been jointly developed by the principals using
a variety of technical and mathematical indicators. Drawing from
their experience they have developed trading models for different
markets and time frames. The trading models use a variety of indicators
and or mathematical studies in combination. Some employ various
trade filters, which attempt to optimize the performance of the
trading model.
John
Heffernan is a former member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange
and has consulted in electronic trading systems for exchanges
and firms for over 10 years. He started his career in the futures
industry in 1974 on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade. John
has held positions in proprietary FX arbitrage trading and management
positions with major brokerage firms handling institutional clients
and proprietary traders in foreign exchange, interest rates and
stock index futures and options. He has studied technical analysis
of markets since entering the industry and has developed trading
models based his analysis.
Robert
Heffernan has been a member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange
since 1991. He began his futures industry career on the floor
of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in 1986 in foreign exchange
futures. He has been active on the trading floor in foreign exchange
and interest rate futures and options since becoming a member
and remains active on the trading floor daily in Mexican Peso
futures and options. Robert has studied various technical and
mathematical theories and indicators on the markets since beginning
his career, and has used these in his trading and providing market
opinions and recommendations to clients.
Jim
Cronin started his career in the futures industry 1988. In 1992
Jim became and independent trader. Jim worked for Black Diamond
Asset Management Co. of Park City Utah as a senior trader for
their CTA program from 1996 until Oct 1999. From Oct 1999 to Feb
2002 Mr. Cronin was an independent trader trading his personal
account. In Feb 2002 Mr. Cronin Joined Network Capital Advisors
Inc. to complete the development of, and manage the Cronin Managed
S&P Futures Trading Program. Mr. Cronin has a BA in Economics
from University of St. Thomas in St. Paul MN.
The firm’s trading models have been jointly developed by
the principals using a variety of technical and mathematical indicators.
Drawing from their experience they have developed trading models
for different markets and time frames. The trading models use
a variety of indicators and or mathematical studies in combination
and employ various trade filters, which attempt to optimize the
performance of the trading model.
NCA’s
automated trading models offer futures trading Clients a new and
exciting opportunity to trade in the futures markets with incredible
speed, accuracy and discipline. NCA takes its basic trading models
and customizes certain parameters to best fit each market. These
models run on a trading platform from Strategy Runner. Once a
customer opens and funds a trading account and licenses and activates
any particular trading model or models through their assisting
broker, the trading models will trade daily in accordance with
the models parameters. The models will continue trading daily
until the customer has their Assisting Broker turn the models
off and removes the model from their account.
Automated
trading models offer a client the ability to trade in multiple
markets in multiple time zones with absolute discipline. The models
will buy or sell as signals dictate and then manage risk and offset
the positions with either a risk management order or a profit
order. The system is non emotional and therefore acts on all signals
without hesitation or judgment.
This ability
to act on all signals immediately without hesitation means that
the trading results of the model will be accurate and reflect
the result of all signals. Many trading models that are manually
traded fall short of expectations because of the delay in execution
and also missed signals due to human short comings.
All
NCA automated trading models run on the Strategy Runner platform.
Automated
futures trading models can be used to diversify ones total investment
portfolio. These models are high risk investment vehicles which
should only be funded with a clients risk capital. Interested
parties should discuss with their investment professional to determine
what percentage of a diversified investment portfolio is appropriate
for allocation to automated futures trading models. As well interest
parties should discuss which particular automated model or portfolio
of models meet their portfolio diversification goals.
The
1stPXBO system is a momentum break out system looking to capture
part of a markets move in direction of breakout. The system will
trade once a day in most circumstances and employs a risk management
mechanism for capital management. This model is a day trading
model. Therefore any positions still open at the models prescribed
turn off time will be liquidated and the account will be flat
overnight. Automated Futures Trading The parameters of the system
have been left static for the back testing results. These will
be dynamic going forward with NCA Inc. adjusting system parameters
as market conditions change. Notification of any parameter changes
taking place will be provided to system licensee’s three
days prior to implementation of such changes. NCA does not expect
to change parameters on a frequent basis. Specific formulas, parameters,
indicators, or other key elements of the NCA 1stPXBO System are
the exclusive intellectual property of NCA and will not be disclosed
to the Customer. Back-testing results are based on one contract
traded per 10,000.00. NCA does not suggest that this is an appropriate
level of funding for the trading of any model but uses this figure
for comparative purposes.
